The Lodge at San Isabel has a long history. The dam for San Isabel Lake was started in 1936 and completed in 1939. Upon completion, the dam was reported to be the largest earthen dam in the world. This area was also designed and created to be one of the first recreational areas in Colorado. In those early days, the Lodge at San Isabel was the mess hall for the CC camp workers. Today people from all over the world visit Lake San Isabel for camping, fishing, backpacking, biking, canoeing, wildlife viewing and picnicking. Our summer temperatures of 80 degrees and cool evenings you will be able to explore the Wet Mountains and the 1.6 million acres San Isabel National Forest and Wilderness area. With 300 days of annual sunshine and breathtaking mountain landscapes the high country of Southern Colorado playground. It's a great place to get away from it all to spend time with family and friends.
Some important things to note about cabin rentals:
We have a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Propane fires only - no wood or charcoal flames are currently allowed
1 motor vehicle allowed per site. All additional vehicles, trailers, visitors, etc must purchase a $10 parking pass. See Terms and Conditions for more details.
All pets must be leashed and attended at all times. We have a 2 pet maximum, with a $20/pet/night additional fee.
All cabins are non-smoking.
